Welcome to my website!

I am a postdoctoral fellow at UiB.

Deep Learning Explainable AI Heavy Rainfall Large-Scale Atmospheric Dynamics
Earth Energy Budget SST Pattern Effects Upwelling Dynamics in Tropical Coral Reefs Large-Scale Data Analysis Data Visualization

My current research focuses on explainable machine learning for midlatitude extreme rainfall dynamics. I investigate whether neural networks can capture physically interpretable processes, with the goal of improving understanding of high-impact climate events and increasing confidence in their use for future climate projections. I also study the Earth’s global energy budget and the SST pattern effect, as well as upwelling dynamics in tropical coral reef ecosystems.
